The 15th Annual Bruening-Loncaric Invitational at Rend Lake Golf Course

It's time to start thinking about golf in September at Rend Lake.  This year we'll be celebrating a milestone that we certainly weren't thinking about way back in 1994.  This is your personal invitation to the 15th Annual Bruening-Loncaric Invitational.  This year's event will be held Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21, 2008.

We'll have a commemorative item to offer in celebration of our 15th year.  Details will be sent in the next few weeks.

The Invitational will consist of 27 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday, at our home away from home, Rend Lake Golf Course.  Saturday's play will determine Team Members & Foursomes for Sunday's play.  Teams will play as foursomes on Sunday in a Best Ball Scramble.  The Team Champions will be crowned shortly after Sunday's play.

Our Low Gross, Closest to the Pin, and Longest Drive Champions will be determined from Saturday's round.  These champions will be announced at Saturday evening's banquet held under the pavilion next to the 18th green.

The entry fee for the event will include a small charitable amount to benefit St. Vincent Home for Children.  We hope to have some raffle items to help increase the amount we provide to them.  Last year with raffle items, individual and corporate funds we were able to donate $5130.00.  Our invitational thus far has donated $30,710.  So if your company or organization has a method of providing assistance to our chosen charity, through a cash donation or item(s) suitable for raffle or attendance prize, please contact us or use the enclosed contribution request letter.  If for some reason you're unable to join us, the children of St. Vincent would be appreciative of any donation you'd be willing to make.  All proceeds raised will benefit St. Vincent.

This year's entry fee is $165.00; it is due by August 15, 2008.  Entry fees are non-refundable.  Make check or money order payable to Mike Loncaric.  Entry fees will not be accepted after this date!  The fee includes greens fee and card for Saturday and Sunday, the dinner banquet on Saturday, the trophies awarded and attendance gifts.  There are 120 positions available.  We're anticipating another great turnout, so please respond by the above date or before, to assure your spot.  If you know of, or wish to have someone invited, please be sure to get their name, address, and phone number to us as soon as possible.  Positions are available by individual invitation only!

We're certainly looking forward to another great year, so come join us in September.  It's not just about the golf.
